A cold frame is a great option if you’re looking to start gardening a little earlier or later in the season –but not looking to invest in a green house just yet. The cold frame mimics the warming effects of a green house, only in a small portable garden bed.
Put your cold frame in a sunny spot and fill with potting soil and your desired plants / seeds. Keep the frame open on sunny / warm days but be sure to keep it closed at night to retain the warmth and to keep pests out.
