DIY Add a tabletop to your gas fire pit

Wasted space is always an opportunity to come up with inventive design. When we recently purchased a small, gas fire pit for my porch, we realized that when it wasn’t in use –it was pretty useless. The tabletop itself was too small to hold anything other than a couple of precariously placed drinks that stood the risk of spilling into the inner working of the pit. So, to remedy this, we created a custom table top for the fire pit when not in use. It can easily be removed or stored and is a great addition to the existing patio furniture we already had.
